AGC has officially entered the delivery phase of the 5,000-ton steel silo system project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. To ensure a smooth delivery and fully meet customer expectations, AGC has consistently upheld its core values: customer-first, technological leadership, people-oriented, value creation, and excellence in practice. The project team conducted rigorous watertightness tests in strict accordance with standard operating procedures and project specifications. This test is crucial for verifying the sealing performance of the steel silos and their auxiliary components under heavy rainfall conditions, thereby ensuring the quality of stored materials and safeguarding the customer’s core interests.

The water spray test was conducted under the client’s full supervision. Taking local natural and climatic conditions into account, the AGC team used fire hydrants to simulate the intensity of local heavy rainfall. The test covered a 360-degree radius, focusing on the silo roof and body to identify and inspect any potential leakage points. Every area prone to leakage was carefully examined. The test concluded only after confirming that all standards had been met and formal approval was obtained from the client.
AGC offers comprehensive rice silo construction services to help you build custom rice silos locally. Our rice silos offer the following key advantages:
- Thermal Insulation: The temperature gradient inside the silo is lower than the external gradient, significantly reducing the risk of condensation—a common cause of grain spoilage in rice silos.
- Safe Grain Storage: Low-temperature storage enhances grain stability, preserves rice quality, and extends storage duration without the need for chemical treatments.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to concrete silos, our steel silo designs incorporate dedicated space for insulation layers (polyurethane foam, sponge rubber, fiberglass, etc.), thereby reducing overall construction and maintenance costs.
Modern steel silos feature a double-walled structure and are equipped with high-performance sealing strips. This design achieves low oxygen permeability, making the system compatible with nitrogen-controlled grain storage methods and enabling efficient pest control. Additionally, the rice silos integrate ventilation, temperature monitoring, dust removal, and automatic unloading systems, allowing for remote monitoring and intelligent management of bulk rice inventories.
As a hallmark of AGC’s commitment to meticulous attention to detail and construction quality, this watertightness test received high recognition and praise from the client. It also provided a significant opportunity to initiate discussions regarding the project’s second phase. Looking ahead, AGC will continue to uphold the spirit of craftsmanship, strictly control project quality, and optimize process management to ensure that every steel silo and rice silo system we deliver operates reliably and stably over the long term.
